Welcome to our world! We are the Second Hand Watch Collective — a curated home for quality pre‑owned mechanical watches.
Our journey began with a deep passion for Christopher Ward, which led us to build Ward Hoard: one of the most trusted places online to buy pre‑owned CW watches, with over 100 pieces available at any time. That focus remains and Ward Hoard continues as our dedicated, CW‑only destination.
Second Hand Watch Collective exists alongside it with a different purpose.
Here, mirroring our own watch collecting journey, we bring that same care, experience and attention to detail to a broader selection of pre‑owned watches from respected other brands, including British and Swiss. Every piece is individually chosen, thoroughly inspected and honestly described and photographed as we would want if we were buying it ourselves.
Our goal is simple: to champion excellent watches that you might not have heard of but should have done.
Whether you are new to mechanical watches, searching for a discontinued favourite, upgrading a daily wearer or adding something special to your collection, you’ll find watches here that are accurately described, properly checked and ready to wear.
We release new stock to our mailing list first. Remaining items are added to the site shortly after.
If you’d like to see our full range of Christopher Ward watches, pop over to Ward Hoard.

Description
Seiko is about as far from a microbrand as you can get, but certain watches make a compelling case for inclusion through character rather than scale. Released in 2023, the Seiko 5 Sports 55th Anniversary Snoopy Peanuts Limited Edition SRPK25 is one of those. It takes a familiar and dependable Seiko platform and overlays it with something far more personal, drawing on the cultural weight and warmth of Peanuts rather than prestige or status.
For many collectors, Snoopy in a watch context immediately brings to mind far less accessible pieces. Seiko’s collaboration offers a different route, delivering the charm and nostalgia of Peanuts in a form that is mechanical, wearable and realistically priced. For me, that nostalgia runs deep. Growing up, Snoopy cartoons were a regular fixture in the newspaper, something I looked forward to reading each day, and the characters have always carried a keent sense of comfort and humour. That familiarity is very much present here, handled in a way that is playful without being gimmicky.
What really makes the SRPK25 fit here is how comfortably it wears. The Seiko 5 is a renowned platform for a reason. With a compact lug‑to‑lug of just over 44 mm, it sits neatly on the wrist and avoids the bulk often associated with dive‑style cases. It is a watch that makes you smile when you notice the details (such as the delightful paw print on the crown), but just as importantly, it is one that works effortlessly as an everyday companion. That balance of enjoyment, usability and value is exactly why it belongs within the curated selection at Second Hand Watch Collective.
When a watch takes you straight back to those small everyday moments, like reading the paper as a kid and recognising familiar faces on the page, that counts for a lot.

Condition: Excellent
RZE warranty: Expires September 2027
Buy it if you want: an unusual field watch with crazy lume
Description
Vario and RZE are both relatively young Singapore‑based brands, but come at things from quite different directions. Vario tends to lean into older, more traditional designs, while RZE focuses on lightweight titanium cases and durability. This is the first time the two have worked together and it sold out very quickly.
The dial and overall layout sit closer to Vario’s side, with a more traditional, almost field‑watch feel. The case is where RZE come through more clearly — matte titanium, noticeably lighter than steel and built to take regular use without much thought.
The weight is the first thing you notice on the wrist. It wears lightly and disappears quickly, especially compared to a steel watch of a similar size. The finishing is matte and functional rather than decorative.
There are a couple of standout features - the grey bund style leather strap works brilliantly with the vintage field watch aesthetic and is supremely comfortable. The second? That dial with the wonderful layered carbon fibre as well as the crazy lume - it comes alive at night!

Quick facts
Reference: Ocean Crawler Core Diver GMT Special Edition
Category: Dive
Size: Large
Movement: Automatic
Condition: Good
SHWC warranty: Six months from date of purchase
Buy it if you want: a beast of a watch!
Description
Ocean Crawler is a smaller independent American brand that operates in a similar space to the enthusiast‑led names many Christopher Ward collectors already know. Ocean Crawler has built its reputation on over‑engineering, extreme depth ratings and genuinely tough construction. Their watches are unapologetically functional and aimed squarely at people who want something capable and different rather than familiar or fashionable.
This is the Core Diver GMT Special Edition, an exceptionally rare model limited to just 50 pieces per colour and 200 worldwide, with this example being number 60 of 200. With an original retail price of £1,250, it was positioned from the outset as a serious tool watch rather than an entry‑level piece. In the metal it feels exactly that — substantial, confident and built for demanding conditions rather than desk duty.
The Core Diver GMT leans heavily into specification. The unidirectional bezel is constructed entirely from sapphire and engraved with hour markers filled with seven layers of Swiss C3 Super‑LumiNova for outstanding low‑light visibility. Inside is a Swiss SOPROD C125 automatic movement, modified and regulated, which is running within COSC specifications on the timegrapher.
Condition and performance
The watch is in good condition with clear signs of regular wear.
Case: Light marks
Bezel: Crack at around 3 o’clock
Crystal: Clear, no marks
The watch is currently fitted to a sailcloth and leather strap and also comes with the original shark mesh bracelet, sized with plenty of spare links, along with the supplied cloth.
Comes boxed with metal warranty card.
Timegrapher: Approximately -5 seconds per day.
